Navy, royal blue and a brighter blue are blocked together on this Deux par Deux TEKNIK mitten, a hard-wearing option for kids in sizes 2/3 to 15/16 who play outside all winter. Navy snow pants and a dark blue pair of mitts make an easy matching outfit.

Royal blue up top and navy at the cuff, the coated shell keeps wet snow out, with a -30°C (-22°F) cold rating from the brand. A brushed microfiber lining is attached inside rather than loose, which makes the navy-and-royal pair quick to put back on with damp hands. The navy cuff section is an extended gauntlet that goes over a jacket and cinches with a drawcord before the adjustable wrist strap is fastened. A hand warmer (not included) can ride in the zippered pocket, or the zipper can be opened for a bit of airflow. Its black palm is rubberized for gripping a toboggan rope, and Cordura® guards the royal blue fingertips against wear.

Two shades of blue blend with almost any coat, including most boys' snowsuits. Since the cuffs are navy, a navy toque or Peruvian hat makes a tidy match, and winter accessories carries both. Lost mitts happen, so a backup pair from gloves and mittens for kids is worth keeping in the school bag.
